Numerical Simulation Study of Huff-n-Puff Hydrocarbon Gas Injection Parameters for Enhanced Shale Oil Recovery

Gas injection has already proven to be an efficient shale oil recovery method successfully tested all around the world. However, gas-enhanced methods have never been implemented or for greatest Siberian formation yet. This article proposes numerical simulation of a hydrocarbon gas process into horizontal well with multiple hydraulic fractures perforating Bazhenov in Western Siberia characterized by ultra-low permeability. A complex field-scale study such performed before and is presented first time our work. The hydrodynamic compositional was utilizing commercial simulator. sensitivity different operating parameters including cycle times, bottom-hole pressures production period, injected composition after model history matched available data. Some uncertain reservoir properties as relative permeability curves were also sensitized upon. Two ways accounting are results from both models compared discussed. Eventually, huff-n-puff resulted 34–117% increase depending on fracture model.
